Ever have a week that was so crazy busy you were so afraid you would forget something that you mix up your dates and give your daughters teacher appreciation gift to her a week early? No, well that is exactly what I did last week. I know her teacher probably knows that is what happened but I still can't help feeling bad that we don't have anything to give her on the actual day now. And well I also totally forgot about my little ones daycare teachers too and needed something for them.
So that is how this project came about. I was not really sure what to do and was running out of time then I found this post by Crazy Little Projects. She made a cute Smart Cookie printable and gave the teachers cookies. This was the solution to my problems. I could make one batch of cookies and have enough for all the teachers. I decided to make my own printable since I wanted to change the wording and colors but please feel free to head on over to her site and check hers out it is really great!
I have been making this cookie recipe for years and wanted to give you all a neat little trick for it, I added the trick in the directions below, but just in case you miss it here it is again. When making these or any cookie where you beat the butter in, stick the batter in the fridge for 10 to 30 min before cooking. This will help your cooking from spreading too much.
Hope you all enjoy the recipe and printable. If you are like me and need a super last minute idea for you teachers this is great. You could also buy cookies if you don't have time to make them.
