Banana Quesadilla

I am still trying to get my family to eat healthier.  The kids are the hardest, okay my 5yr old is the hardest.  My little one will eat just about anything.  And this past week I have gotten them to eat a ton of veggies and fruits, they did not know about it all but they ate it and that is what matters.

We don't do much dessert around here because I have almost no self control when it comes to sweets so I usually eat too much of it so I just don't buy them.  However it is nice to get a treat every now and then, so I thought these banana quesadilla's would be great!

They are made with small whole wheat tortillas which aren't too bad, and they have banana which is a great fruit.  We added some chocolate but not too much and since this one was split between the girls and I it really is a great healthy option over a cupcake, cookie, or brownie.  If you want to make it healthier you can add peanut butter instead of the chocolate chips, or you know I bet it would be good with peanut butter added just like it is too.  Next time we make these I may add some strawberries too, my oldest says she does not like them but I bet I could sneak them in there!

Make sure you check out our banana ice-cream recipe for another healthy treat!

Supplies
Small Whole Wheat Tortilla
Banana
1/2 Tbs Mini Chocolate Chips
Powdered Sugar (optional)

Directions
Using a fork mash your banana
Place your tortilla on your griddle
Add your banana to one half of the tortilla
Sprinkle your chocolate chips on top of the banana
Fold tortilla over and heat, flip it and heat up the other side (just enough to melt the chocolate and make it warm)
 Cut it into three pieces
Sprinkle with Powdered sugar and chocolate chips if you want
 Serve to the kids!
A yummy healthier dessert!
