Next week is Father’s Day, and of course we wanted to make
daddy something special this year. But dads
can be hard, there is not much crafty stuff they actually want or will
use. Why are women so much easier than
men?
Well I put a LOT of thought into this father’s day craft, I
really wanted to make something that my hubs would really like. And I think I finally came up with the
PERFECT idea. A Beer Basket! I mean really he LOVES beer so how can I go
wrong? I also decided to buy all the specialty Summer beers they have out since he likes them but never buys them for himself.
I decided that we would fill the basket with peanuts because
1 he loves peanuts and 2 peanuts go great with beer! And then I made a cute HAPPY FATHER’S DAY sign
to put in it to finish it off. I just
love how it came out and I am sure he will love it too!
Supplies
Basket (or drink holder, we bought ours at Target)
Peanuts (we used three bags, but if you use a smaller “basket”
then you might need less)
Beer
Craft stick
Styrofoam to hold up sign
Directions
Start by putting your
Styrofoam on the bottom of your “basket”.
Then fill with
peanuts.
Now put your beer in,
you can put as much or as little as you want.
Print out your father’sday signs and cut them out.
If you need to cut
your craft sticks do that to the size you want.
Now glue your signs
to the back of the sticks (after thought taping them would probably work too).
Now stick your signs
into the bin and try to get them in the Styrofoam so they stay in place and are
secure.
I don't even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great. I don't know who you are but certainly you're going to a famous blogger if you aren't already ;) Cheers!
