DIY Owl Mask

Here is the last piece to my daughters Owl Costume.  You have already seen the tutorials for the Wings and the Dress, now I will show you how to make the mask.

I decided to use the sunglasses as the base for this mask because I thought it would be a LOT easier for her to put it on and take it off.  Since she is going to be wearing this at school I did not want to bother the teachers with having to help her tie it on or anything.  And truthfully the glasses work great.

Supplies
Pink Foam Sheet
Blue Foam Sheet
Orange Foam Sheet
Cheap Plastic Sunglasses
2 Feathers
Glue Gun
Owl Face Template

Directions
Print out and cut out your template.  Then cut out the pieces from your foam paper.
Pop the lenses out of your glasses
Use the blue circles you have left from cutting the eyes out of your blue foam to measure where to cut and glue your frames onto the mask.
Glue all the foam pieces together
Now Glue them to your glasses frame
Glue your feathers to the top of your mask
Here is my little one trying the mask on.  I have a feeling I will have to make more of these!

  2. This is so adorable. I love the fact that this is universal idea where we could just change the colors to make it work for a boy or girl. Plus the glasses make it easy for the kids to wear them.
