FALL Sign

This weekend I was in a Fall decorating mode.  However I realized that we don't have much as far as fall decoration.  We have lots of stuff for Halloween and Thanksgiving but nothing for just fall.  So I thought we would make some.

The first thing we made this weekend is a FALL Sign. We picked up some paper mache letters from the craft store (any size will work) and got some fall color paints then we came home and painted the letters.  Really this is a pretty easy craft, but the kids enjoyed it and I LOVE the letters on our mantle.  It really is the focal point of the whole mantle now. And to think it is the easiest thing we did all weekend!

So if you are looking for an easy and cheap way to decorate for the season, this is a great way to do it.  And it will keep the kids busy for a while painting the letters.... a win win!

Supplies
Paper Mache Letters That Spell FALL
Fall Color Paints
Paint Brushes

Directions
Have the kids paint the letters.
We painted each letter a different fall color.
Now you can place your letters on the Mantel or hang them on a wall if you want.
Check out the Salt Dough Fall Garland too!

  3. That is a great idea. I imagine your children feel so proud when they look up at the mantle and see their own work on display. Thanks for sharing on Artsy Play Wednesday.
