Cloud Dough

While my oldest daughter was spending a week with grandma, I took the opportunity to do a few projects with my little one.  I always mean to do more with my 2yr old, but it just never does seem to workout.

Until this past week when I finally got to do some of the fun things I have been wanting to do with her.  For many many weeks I have wanted to make some cloud dough for my daughter to play with.  I decided to set it up like a small sand box and that worked out great!

This dough is so soft and yet it is very moldable at the same time, kind of like wet sand but it does not feel like wet sand it feels more like a soft cloud.  My daughter had so much fun playing in it that I just put the lid on the bin and we have it out on the back patio so she can play with it anytime she wants!  When my oldest came home she even had to play in it.

This is a great activity to keep the kids busy and let them explore the feel of the dough.  I have to say if you don't have a sandbox for the kids then this would be great.  You can get the supplies very cheap and if you store the bin with the dough in it then you have a small sand-like box for the kids to play with whenever they want!

Supplies
1 5LB Bag All Purpose Flour
1 14 OZ Bottle Baby Oil
Plastic Bin (28 Quart the dimensions are 28x16x6)
Sand Toys

Directions
Pour your flour into your bin
All your baby oil and then mix
Add some toys to the bin
 Now show your kids!
 Let them dig in it
Shovel or make molds in it
Build a bridge for cars to drive on
 Make some mountains
Let the kids play and have fun with this soft baby scented moldable dough!

  9. Dumb question: What size bin are you using? I bought all of the stuff to make it, but I think my bin is a little too small, so I'm going to use that bin for my colored rice. Thanks!
