Fathers Day BBQ Sauce

My husband LOVES LOVES LOVES barbeque sauce.   He pretty much puts it on everything.  So this year I thought it would be cool to have my daughter make him some homemade sauce for fathers day.  Since I have never actually made BBQ sauce before I was not sure where to even begin so I found this recipe over at I heart nap time.  I tweaked it just a little, but it is pretty much the same recipe.

And as much as I hate to admit it, my husband thinks it is yummy.  Yep my daughter could not wait to give it too him and told him about it last night!  She is 5 I should know better then to expect her to keep a secret!  Oh well, so much for giving this to him on Fathers Day!

At least I can say that the hubs liked it and thought it was a great Father's Day Gift!  So if you are still trying to figure out what to get Dad, this would make a great gift that your child can help make!  And don't forget to printout our free BBQ Sauce Label for Father's Day!

Supplies
1 Cup Ketchup
1/4 Cup Tomato Sauce
1/4 Cup + 1/2 TBS Brown Sugar
1 TBS Soy Sauce
1/2 TBS Worcestershire Sauce
1 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1/4 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Black Pepper
1/8 Red Pepper Flakes
BBQ Sauce Label
Clear Packing Tape
Directions
Add all your ingredients to the pot
 Bring to a boil
Reduce heat and simmer for 20min.  Then remove from heat.

Just put your sauce in a jar and add your free Fathers Day BBQ Sauce Label
We just taped our label on the jar with clear packing tape.
Now you are ready to give Dad the perfect Father's Day Gift!

    1. I used a small canning jar, however you can easily double or triple the recipe if you want more. I just wanted a little.
